In my 15 years of photography I have had time to specialize in a little bit of everything. From small weddings to families of all sizes, maternity to newborn, milestone celebrations to pet portraits.
Aside from photography, I have an actual personality too, and to prove it, here is a snapshot of the basics:
I like dogs, but I love cats.
No, slow down.
I am saying that I LOVE love cats.
More than you do.
I want to pet that cat.
Gimmie dat.
I spend 90% of my waking hours during our few warm months
on my front porch, just living that LIFE.
Our family is proudly holding the title of
"best Halloween house in town"
According to all the kids in our neighbourhood, and me.
My decor style is best described as
cottage cozy, mega maximalist, but make it
cute, antique and breakable.
Collections? yes. Please.
I announce that I am quitting coffee every other week,
and I always mean it!
I have a ton of hobbies that I love, including but not limited to, decorating dollhouses, wool felting, embroidery, furniture refinishing,
making doodads with clay... and with special thanks to my raging ADHD, the list never ends.
And sometimes, just sometimes....I end about me sections abruptly.
The Costume Chronicles
Something I have found the greatest joy in,
has been photographing styled character sessions.
The planning that goes into these is all consuming,
but it's always worth the extra work.
The styling, the story telling, the location hunting.
Fittings and make up trails.
The pressure (and fun) of pulling it off on the big day.
I LOVE doing this.
It has been only a few years since I started
having fun with this type of thing, growing from offering
"Halloween mini's" in the fall 15 years ago,
to putting more thought and effort into my own kids
Halloween photo's and their costumes.
I have done so many fun Halloweenie sessions now,
Almost entirely using my own kids,
and/or their friends as the main characters.
Each year getting better, thinking bigger, loving it more.
I am THRILLED to offer these sessions to anyone who
shares a kindred pull towards the creative.
